If you purchase an above ground pool, make sure parts and maintenance   items are readily accessible. Often, you have to return to the place you purchased your pool to buy even the most basic items needed. Make sure  your source for parts and supplies is convenient. Even filters and skimmer   baskets can require a lengthy trip to purchase. At Sango Pool and Spa, we use professional brands that are nationally known.

Maintenance is the key to ease of pool care. 1 or 2 hours per week is all that  is needed to keep your pool running clean and the water sparkling clear. Have your water tested weekly by a professional pool store to ensure you are  buying only what you need.  Guess work on water maintenance can be costly.  Also, check the ingredients on the water treatment products you are buying.  Weaker products can seem cheaper in the beginning but if you have to buy  twice as much to accomplish half as much, it can actually cost more.              

Seasoned pool owners know that shocking your pool in the sunny part of the day can greatly diminsh the effect. Always shock your pool  in the evening.  Sunlight burns off the chemicals in shock treatments, so get the most for your money and only apply shock when it will be the most effective.                   

We use the most advanced water testing systems that are available, however,  to ensure you are getting a correct reading on your sample, bring in a  fresh water sample. Can't wait? Drop it off before you run your errands or go  to work. We will have the analysis ready when you return.  Never test a  sample that has set overnight or in your hot car all day. It will affect the chemical make up of your sample and the test results will be inaccurate. Water testing is free at Sango Pool and Spa.
